WHO WE ARE...
Mary G. Mock
Director, Teacher
Ms. Mary is a graduate of Penn State University with a B.A. in Elementary Education. She studied dance at the David Blight School of Dance (all phases of dance), Luzerene Community College (mid-eastern dance), Penn State (modern and jazz), Centre County Ballet (ballet/pointe), Wilkes-Barre Ballet Center (ballet), and Dance Workshop of Hazelton (ballet/pointe). While studying at the David Blight School of Dance, she was a member of two award winning competition groups. She has been a choreographer and assistant director of plays and choral concerts such as Hello Dolly, South Pacific, and Guys and Dolls at SHS and Godspell, Oklahoma, Carousel, and Barefoot in the Park for her high school and college. Mary has taught all phases of dance for the David Blight School of Dance, Dance Workshop of Hazelton, YMCA Enrichment Program, Fabergé Follies, Falls Road Dance Studio and Prettyboy, Sparks and Fifth District recreation programs. She has served as talent judge for such competitions as Talent Olympics, Performers on Parade, and Performing Arts Alliance. She now supports over 60 award winning students who compete at local competitions. At these competitions, Mary has received titles such as Best and Original Choreography, Best Costumes, High Energy Award and the achievement of the largest number of winners. Mary continues her dance education by participating in teacher seminars one of which is the Robert Christoper Seminars.

Amy Katchko
Amy earned her bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Dance Performance, Choreography, and Education from Towson State University and performed in their dance company. She has a teaching certificate in both Dance and Early Childhood Education. She has taught ages 3 to adult at several professional schools such as Caryl Maxwell Classical Ballet and The Ellicott City Ballet Guild, Patty Neivery School of Dance and Western Maryland College. Amy received her ballet training at the Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet where she also gained valuable performing and teaching experience.

Christa Haber
Crista has a total of 10 years of ballet training, 11 years in jazz and 6 in tap. She is certified through DEA (Dance Educators of America) and Zumba - the new aerobic dance program. She continues her education through various workshops as does all the MgM teachers. Her dance experience started at Kay’s Act II Dance Studio in Bucks County. Most know her for her high energy “street style” hip hop classes. She initiated a new class called “Jazz Funk” -where you will learn a little street hip hop and the exciting leaps and turns of jazz dance.

Jamie Gibbs
Ms Jamie received her B.S. in Psychology at York College of PA. She also did extensive studies in Tap, Jazz, Ballet, and Modern at Hope College in Holland, Michigan where she majored in both Dance and Psychology. While at Hope, Jamie took courses in teaching dance and had the opportunity to teach creative movement in a classroom setting at a local elementary school. She has also performed Middle Eastern dance for Images, a multi culture dance group and taught workshops in Middle Eastern Dance at Hope. The past year and a half Jamie have continued her Middle Eastern Dance studies, including Racks Sharki and Raks Muquaddas with well-known performers and master teachers such as Laurel Victoria Grey, Artemis, and Rhea of Greece. She is also certified in Pilates. Jamie’s speciality is tumbling, having competed for the Hanover YMCA team on the state and national levels. She has over 20 years of gymnastic experience

Tami Kroh
Ms. Tami is a graduate of Keystone Jr. College with an A.A. Degree in Early Childhood Education and a graduate of Millersville University with a B.A. Degree in Psychology. She has
studied jazz, ballet, and tap at the former Moore Family School of Dance for ten years. She has performed and received awards in various talent shows and competitions through her life. Tami has attended a variety of dance workshops as well. She started teaching with MgM in 1995 for many different group levels and up until her “last” recital in 2002, was director of some competition groups as well. Besides spending time at the studio, Tami has a full time job as a patient care secretary at Visiting Nurse Association of York. Returning by popular demand after a 4 year “retirement” Tami says “I’M Back!”

Michelle Joyce
Ms Michelle has a bachelor degree in Journalism from Towson University. Her dance education began at the age of 6 at Kathleen’s Dance Center in Annapolis. Michelle joined the competition team at the age of 12. She competed in tap, jazz, ballet and lyrical. She also studied pointe at Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts in Anapolis. She began her teaching experience at the age of 14 at Kathleen’s Dance Center where she taught students between the ages of 3 and 9. At the age of 18 Michelle auditioned for and was accepted into Dance Caravan. Dance Caravan is a traveling company which hosts master classes and competitions throughout the country. She would travel to 16 cities in 8 weeks. While with Dance Caravan she performed with Mallory Graham and Tommie Walsh and assisted Jerry Rose, the ballet instructor.

E C Goode
EC., a native of Baltimore, began her dance training with her sister and performed throught the tri state area. She continued her dance education while attending the University of Maryland. EC then studied under such greats as Jimmie Thurston, Jason Taylor and Tryone Muarry. She continued performing in NYC while studying for a Master's Degree at NYU. There she was asked to join the Eleo Pomare Dance Co. She received a degree in administration and worked in the Urban Contemorary Department communicating with the DJs across the copuntry on a weekly basis. She was then offered a position with Sesame Street Live where she toured throughout the US and abroad. Currently she is teaching throughout the Baltimore/ Washington area.(teaching yoga and pilates at health clubs along with other special movement classes) EC has acquired her AFAA certification for group exercise.

Christina Lane
Ms Christina received her bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Dance Performance
and Certificate of Education from Goucher College in Baltimore,Maryland. While at Goucher, Christina had the opportunity to perform under the dirrection of Rachel Bermum (Paul Taylor Dance Company - NYC) and Janice Garrett (San FRansisco, California) Christina also performed faculty and student-choreographed pieces throughout her four years at Goucher College. Christina choreographed and became Vice President of the award winning competitive dance team at Goucher College.
Originally from New Jersey, Christina started her dance career as a competitive gymnast in the United States Association of Gymnastics (USAG).
After eleven years of competing, Christina joined a nationalloy ranked competitive dance troupe and started competing in all dance techniques. In high school, Christina was enrolled in the Fine and Performing Arts Program, a magnet program that emphazied the technique and development of dance on a professional level. Christina was also part of the Varsity gymnastics and competition cheer squad in high school. Throughout high school and college Christina taught all techniques of dance and gymnastics in NJ and MD.
In the past year, Christina has had the opportunity to professionally back up dance for Baltimore/DC artists on the rise and has shared the stage with artists such as Chris Brown and Ne-Yo. Currently Christina is a substitue teacher in Baltimore and Anne Arundel County (MD) and choreographs dances for middle and high schools within the counties.
