RECITAL NEWS JUNE 2011
MgM Dance Studio Parents and Students
It is with great joy and anticipation that my staff and I are preparing
your child(ren) for his /her/their opportunity to shine in front of their
family and friends. The recital offers students a professionally directed
performance that allows them to present to their loved ones the results
of a year's hard work, dedication, and progress. An integral part of dance
training process is learning through performance. As you may know the recital
experience helps build self-esteem,self-assurance,and contributes to a sence
of confidence. the rehearsal process, including class time, is a tremendous
learning experience as well. It helps students develop retention skills,
and by working with their classmates in a group performance, they learn
the positive aspects of working as a team to create the best possible end
result.Dedication to recital commitment is the responsiblity of both student
and parents. Lease be sure that your dancer attends their scheduled class
each week.As the end of the dance season appoarches, my teachers and I are
working to complete choreography and perfect technique to ensure a polished
performance. If a student must miss a class. please be aware that my staff
will review missed choreography but cannot re-teach it during class times
as it is unfair to the students who attend the class on a regular
basis. In addition to attending regular weekly classes, we ask parents to
encourage their children to rehearse their choreography at home to ensure
that they feel confident about their performance. A copy of your child's
music is available for $1.50. Please see Ms Julianne for a copy and
details.
Sincerely,
Ms Mary
