MgM Dance Studio  offers competition/performance classes to the students who show potential, are motivated to do his/her best, and to be a team player. They must also demonstrate a  good attitude toward correction; have good attendance ; be punctual and have a healthy attitude toward competition .Competition/performance in the past few years has become a  major activity in the danc e world. It offers stage experience, a fun way to show one’s hard work, education by observing other students from other areas, friendship with students from other studios and self -confidence. 

 There are opportunities to share their talents by performing at local functions(nursing homes,women's clubs etc.) as well as such places as Disney world, Royal Caribbean and Carnival cruises. Admission to these classes is by invitation and audition which takes place during the summer.  Once in a group a student does not necessarily remain in that group for his/her entire schooling. A student moves at his/her own rate of development .

 Students in this program are exposed to all disciplines of dance. They take  jazz, tap, ballet, stretch and strength, and choreography classes. In addition many take other classes, solos or duos. Their education is expanded by the opportunity to study other styles of dance by attending workshops  given by guest teachers or going to advertised workshops. The Groups are committed to two mandatory competitions a year, although others may be attended. 

Pre-Competition Class- A  class designed to prepare students for a competition group in the disciplines of tap,  jazz, ballet, lyrical and hip hop. Students must audition or be recommended by  his/her previous dance teacher to take this class. 

Galaxy in Training- A class for those students not quite ready for the Galaxy competition  group. This is an extra technique classs which a student will take in addition to their regular group.You must be invited into this class. 

Stumbling Stars –  Students like to see their parents perform . To accomplish this Stumbling Stars was organized.  Stumbling  Stars  get together sometime in April and learn a routine . This  routine is performed at the recital and at competition.
